陪同口译急救指南:怎么给客户翻译中式大餐?

 

前两天我们公司做了一个陪同口译项目,是陪同欧洲客户拜访深圳本地的工厂。

拜访过后工厂方请客户吃中式大餐,一桌盛宴,怎么给客户翻译菜肴的名称呢?

也可以直接翻译菜名或者组成这道菜的品种名字,不过有些菜肴不适合直译,例如“鱼香茄子”直译就会产生误解,毕竟鱼香茄子里没有茄子,就像“老婆饼”里没有“老婆”。
